JULY
— Feira Popular de Loulé | July 14-17 — Loulé
A popular fair with amusement rides, games, and concerts by artists such as Allcante, Luís Trigacheiro, and Rita Guerra. The fair provides entertainment for all ages and highlights the vibrant local culture, offering a variety of attractions and performances.
— Silves Beer Fest | 17-21 July — Silves
The Silves Beer Fest is the current format for what was one of the most iconic Beer Festivals in Portugal – the Beer Festival in Silves Castle. Since it restarted in 2017 and after four editions, there is evidence of growing interest among the public and potential exhibitors.
— Int. Motorcycle Gathering | July 18-21 — Faro
A major motorcycle rally that attracts bikers worldwide, featuring concerts, various biking events, and exhibitions. This event is a must-visit for motorcycle enthusiasts.
— Jazz in Tavira | July 18-21 — Tavira
Held in the Jardim do Coreto, this festival features performances by various jazz artists. It creates a relaxing atmosphere with smooth jazz tunes, perfect for music lovers who enjoy a night of quality music in a picturesque setting.
— Sunsets – Castelo de Silves | July 4 / August 1
An enchanting evening event at Silves Castle with live music and performances by Silk Road. Attendees can enjoy the unique sunset view and the historical ambiance of the castle, complemented by gourmet food and wine tastings.
— Portimão Wine Tasting | July 19 -21 — Portimão
A wine-tasting event at the Fortaleza de Santa Catarina showcasing regional wines, gourmet food pairings, and live entertainment. The event offers a sophisticated experience for wine enthusiasts and provides an opportunity to explore local wines and delicacies.
— Arte Doce Contest | July 24-28 — Lagos
This event in Lagos has been celebrating regional sweets for 35 years. The theme for this year is 50 years of freedom in Portugal, and it includes performances, concerts, and numerous sweet exhibitions. Concerts feature Expensive Soul, Fernando Daniel, Hybrid Theory – The Linkin Park Tribute, Plutónio, and Luís Trigacheiro.
— Lota Cool Market | July 24-28 — Portimão
One of the coolest night markets in the Algarve. This year’s theme is “eCOOLegacy,” celebrating Portimão’s 100 years as a city. The market focuses on sustainability and ecological products, featuring new artists, musical entertainment, and food trucks near the old fish market of Portimão.
— Feira da Serra | July 25-28 — São Brás de Alportel
A fair celebrating rural traditions with concerts by David Carreira, Diogo Piçarra, Anjos e Bárbara Bandeira. It also includes artisan stalls and local food, showcasing the region’s cultural heritage and providing entertainment for the whole family.
— Noitada Portimão | 26-27 July — Portimão
For two days, the most emblematic areas of the city will host an emotion-packed atmosphere, with live music, thrilling performances, and light installations. Festival-goers can see presentations by Portuguese artists, laser shows around the city, art installations in honor of the sea, and light and neon shows, including video mapping, which will transform the facades of buildings into giant screens.
— World Press Photo | July 29 / August 18 — Portimão
This prestigious photojournalism exhibition showcases powerful and thought-provoking images from around the world. Hosted in Portimão, the exhibition offers visitors a chance to engage with global issues through the lens of some of the world’s best photojournalists.
AUGUST
— Festival da Sardinha | July 30 / August 4 — Portimão
The Sardine Festival is a beloved event celebrating Portimão’s fishing heritage. Visitors can enjoy grilled sardines, live music, crafts, and various activities suitable for all ages. The festival atmosphere is lively, with plenty of local cuisine to sample and entertainment to enjoy.
— Brunch Electronik | August 4 — Faro
Brunch Electronik is an open-air, nomadic festival that takes place in emblematic locations in different cities around the world. At their parties, you’ll find both lively dance ambiances, and also resting spots with shadows and tables to have a drink or just chat with your friends. Line up: Loco Dice, Gordo, Danni Gato, Breyth, Pippa.
— Festival Mar Me Quer | 8-10 August — Portimão
Mar Me Quer is an event with an identity marked by its environmental and social component which is affirmed by the search for the creation of a collective awareness on these matters. Thanks to the success of the first two editions, it intends to continue growing and consolidating the brand in Portugal and beyond its borders.
— Silves Medieval Fair | August 9-17 — Silves
The Medieval Fair of Silves transforms the town into a medieval wonderland with historical reenactments, traditional crafts, and medieval-themed entertainment. Visitors can enjoy interactive activities, performances, and a glimpse into the medieval past of Silves.
— Olhão Seafood Festival | 10-14 August — Olhão
The Seafood Festival is back, from 10th to 14th August. The biggest gastronomy event in the south of the country will once again be bringing the best of the region’s gastronomy to the Jardim Pescador Olhanense, along with a luxury line-up.
— FATACIL | August 16-25 — Lagoa
The FATACIL festival celebrates the Algarve’s rich heritage with a focus on crafts, tourism, agriculture, commerce, and industry. The event features exhibitions, several demonstrations, shops, food, and concerts, providing entertainment for both kids and adults. Artisans from across Portugal showcase their work, and visitors can enjoy local produce and livestock exhibitions.
— Banho 29 | August 29 — Lagos
Tradition and folklore say that bathing on 29th August scares demons away and is worth 29 baths. Whether it is true or not, it is one of the most popular traditions in Lagos and a reason for large-scale celebration!
— Loulé White Night | August 31 — Loulé
The White Night in Loulé is a spectacular event where attendees dress in white and enjoy an evening of music, dance, and visual arts. The streets of Loulé come alive with performances and decorations, creating a magical and memorable experience, and saying goodbye to those golden Summer days.
SEPTEMBER
— Festival F | 5-7 September — Faro
Festival F is a cultural initiative that brings together established and emerging artists from the Portuguese music scene. The event is held in Faro and lasts for three days. It also features a wide range of other activities, including get-togethers, stand-up comedy, plastic and performing arts, handicrafts, and street food.

— 100 Years 100 Flavors | September 13 — Portimão
The 100 Years 100 Flavors is promoted by the Teia D’Impulsos Association, in partnership with Portimão City Council, and appears in a single edition to celebrate 100 years of elevation to the City. It aims to provide Portimão residents and all visitors with a gastronomic experience that takes them travel through the Algarve traditions and the multiculturalism we experience today. This itinerary will consist of up to 100 establishments throughout the municipality of Portimão.
